Mayabeque, Cuba: After the arrive of new medical personnel to the rural communities of the municipality of San Nicolás, the psychological attention to the patients of those settlements has increased.

According to the specialist in medical psychology, Daylén Blanco, they offer psychological help to all those persons with disorders considered clinical cases and those who need an appointment with no history of care.

Among the main patients are pregnant women and people with behavioral disorders or specific pathologies, bedridden, with some type of cancer or with a history of suicide attempts.

"Through this type of attention, individuals receive educational talks and palliative exercises, according to the pathologies or groups that meet," the specialist ratifies.

These same actions are carried out in the municipal capital and in population settlements, together with specialists who provide medical services to children of the Special School, the Circle of grandparents and the Maternal Home.
