Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) of the municipality of Batabanó complies with the production plans of this stage of the year and is ready to start a new sowing period.

To date the farmers have had results in the harvests of grains, meats and vegetables, prioritizing above all the delivery of daily milk for the basic basket in the local wineries.

The work is directed towards the preparations for the spring campaign that prioritizes crops such as corn, sweet potato, cassava, pumpkin and others, responsibility assumed by the local cooperatives, complying with the parameters of hiring where they  control the crops planted by the peasantry, the president of the ANAP in the town, Yadira Otaño Rubalcaba, said.

It is important to highlight that among the achievements of the peasant sector stands out the growth of the membership of the organization, with the incorporation of women, challenge that the association assumes every year.
