Mayabeque, Cuba: The Agricultural Productive Cooperative (CPA) Ciro Redondo, from Batabanó, was the headquarters of the Festival of Traditions for Farmers, which is celebrated each year as part of the day to greet the Day of the Peasants.
On this occasion, the selection of the flower of Mayabeque, was the main cultural activity, where young farmers participated representing each of these units in the locality. This contest not only looks for beauty, but for the most integral female.
The participants in the event could enjoy the performance of repentistas, an exhibition of traditional dishes and an animal fair.
It was a propitious moment to summon the peasantry to participate in the May Day parade.
