Mayabeque, Cuba: A book that gathers important moments from the visits carried out by Ernesto Guevara to the Güines textile company and a compilation of photographs about different moments of his life is among the works awarded in the Municipal Contest dedicated to honoring the Heroic Guerrilla.

Mauro Moreno had the honor of being one of the protagonists of the text and worked close to Che. Regarding his participation in the contest, he comments: "I interviewed colleagues who participated with him in the different volunteer workers in the textile industry."

"Being very close to Che is a great privilege. Between him and I arose a friendship due to everything lived. This is a testimonial book where all the people of Mayabeque can appreciate their passage through the municipality and maintain Che's legacy in Güines, he added.

The work of another participant, Leonor Vázquez Cintra, shows unpublished portraits accompanied by passages from the life and work of Commandant Guevara.

The work is based on his family origins, the first years he was in school, his childhood and youth, as well as the different trips made in places in Latin America.

In the contest there were also presented poems, decimas, crafts and other works of creation that paid tribute to Che.
