Mayabeque, Cuba: The day of the innovator in Mayabeque ended at the Thermoelectric Power Plant: “Ernesto Guevara de la Serna” located in Santa Cruz del Norte. The event was dedicated to the Heroic Guerrilla, Honorary President of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR).
“The day of the innovators frames the month of October, first at the grassroots level several activities were carried out with the fundamental objective of recognizing and dignifying the work of the innovators in each of the work collectives, the President of the Provincial Bureau of the ANIR, Vladimir Ríos Marrero commented.
Subsequently, other events took place, especially fulfilling one of the objectives of the association, disseminating the contributions of the innovators, taking advantage of the mass media that exist in the municipalities”.
"We wanted to close this day by carrying out a provincial act where the fundamental objective was to grant the national categories that the National Bureau of the ANIR had granted to the innovators and entities of Mayabeque”, Ríos Marrero, added.
On this occasion, 15 entities with the condition October 8 were recognized, among them: Oil Extraction and Perforation Company, UEB: “Boris Luis Santa Coloma”, Quivicán Tobacco Resector, Ronera Santa Cruz del Norte and "Radio Mayabeque".
In addition, the October 8 stamps of the ANIR were delivered to 7 innovators who stand out for their trajectory and contribution.
Emerio Travieso Alonso, Hero of Work and member of the ANIR in the UEB: "Luis Santa Coloma", said: “It's a great pride, first for the years I've been working, 54 years, in the sugar sector, always dedicated to the theme of innovations. Every day the most difficult situation becomes, that more solutions have to be given”.
Another of the recognized innovators was Walter Labastida Wambrug of the Thermoelectric Power Plant: “Ernesto Guevara de la Serna”, in the dialogue with this reporter, he said: “A merit that is not only mine, it belongs to a team, because without the team work carried out in this Central, these achievements would not be attainable throughout these years, for example works so important as the pumps that feed the block. In these moments of Unit number 3 we had to recover 2 bombs and make 1 because we had no spare parts. ”
For the contributions to the innovative activity, the Senior Economic and Social Impact Prize was awarded by the senior researcher Enrique Noa Romero, of the Center for Scientific Research of Civil Defense, in Mayabeque..
