Mayabeque, Cuba: Cuba's advances in livestock systems will be shown at the VII International Congress of Animal Production scheduled for 2020. The introduction, obtaining and evaluation of pastures, forages and other crops, nutrition and management of ruminants, monogastrics and other species, are topics to be addressed at the appointment scheduled in the province of Matanzas.

The Doctor in Sciences María Felicia Díaz Sánchez, director of post-degree and research at the Institute of Animal Science (ICA by its Spanish initials) explains that the congress of animal production is scheduled from October 12 to 16 at the Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero."

The event sponsored by the ICA, located in Mayabeque, will bring together experts from several nations to discuss the most relevant aspects around innovation, extension and local development, value chains and obtaining and characterizing food and additives.

As part of the scientific program they will exchange about reproduction and management of animal genetic resources, animal welfare and health, mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

“We are already launching the international call and we have the commitment of all workers to have productive and scientific goals, to continue contributing with scientific results that can have an economic and social impact for the country, so that all those methodologies and scientific results that we have achieved , can reach different scientific communities. ”
