Mayabeque, Cuba: More than 140 delegates from 26 countries participating in the VII International Meeting of Agroecology, Sustainable Agriculture and Cooperativism, will visit the agro ecological farms of Mayabeque, Prensa Latina publishes.

The event, which will be held in Havana from the 17th to the 23rd of this month, pursues the exchange of experiences on how to preserve a healthy and sustainable agriculture and achieve an increase in agro ecological practices in Cuba and the world.

The actions of the Cuban government to meet the objectives of the 2020-2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, the impact of the US blockade on Cuban agriculture, and other essential aspects will be discussed at the event besides agro ecology and cooperativism.

During the meeting there will also be conferences, panels on topics related to family farming, safe food, biodiversity, environment, seeds, among others.
