Mayabeque, Cuba: The presence of Mayabeque on the Internet sparked the debate today between a representation of the main media, scientific centers, the Agrarian University, the Young Computer Club and the communicators of different entities of the territory.

The meeting was chaired by the Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, Víctor Fidel Gaute López, the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and its First Secretary in the young province, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich and the  official of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the Party, Joaquín Suárez González.

As part of the process of computerization of the society in Mayabeque 227 thousand people have access to mobile telephony and there are 42 Wifi points available.

According to Google search engine statistics, the website of Radio Mayabeque is one of the most representative media, but the work based on the particularities of Internet communication and the efficient use of new information technologies is still insufficient.

In this regard, the Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, Víctor Fidel Gaute López said: “with the cyber combatants you have to maintain a work system, keep a lot of conversation, you have to be precise in the orientations, dedicate time to the preparation, to define concepts, you have to spend time educating our people”.

Gaute López, urged the managers of the content in the institutional sites to promote the publication of life stories of our people, which provide elements of judgment, sensitivity and highlight the humanism of the Cubans.

He also called for organizing the work, from all structures, to contribute to the visualization and positioning of websites, based on the rational use of social networks.
