ayabeque, Cuba: The delegates to the Provincial Assembly of the Popular Power of this province joined the celebrations for the 500 years of Havana and recognized the efforts of the capitals’ residents to greet this anniversary with a beautiful and renewed city that belongs to all Cubans.

This is how the tenth ordinary session of that governing body in its third term began this morning in which they also patented solidarity with the legitimate president of Bolivia, Evo Morales and the people of the sister nation.

During the meeting, the representatives of the people in Mayabeque evaluated the progress of two programs of broad economic and social impact, the granting of subsidies for the construction of housing and the strategy for the rational use of water.

In both tasks it was shown that the province does not achieve the expected results due to deficiency in the work systems and lack of control and monitoring.

In the particular case of subsidies, since 2012 when the program was launched, about three thousand citizens of Mayabeque have benefited while cases outside terms remain an unsolved problem.

In the water strategy, the greatest difficulty is the stable supply of liquid to the population, as a result of the poor state of the dstribution networks and sources of supply. However, delegates to the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power in Mayabeque recognized that the realization of four investments in the hydraulic system this year is encouraging. For 2010, actions to improve drinking water service will continue.

The member of the Central Committee of the Party and her first secretary in Mayabeque, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, urged to “maintain an active and dynamic position in the face of the problems, emphasized that the management cadres should strengthen their commitment to the assigned missions, since the consecration and personal example, to contribute in this way, she stressed, with the well-being of the people”.

Defending the unity around the Revolution, she said, "is the slogan for the 61st anniversary on January 1, 2020".
