Mayabeque, Cuba: The members of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) in Jaruco, stand out in Mayabeque for the activities they carry out in favor of an economic culture in the workers.

According to the president of ANEC in the municipality, Carmen Páez Llerena, several scientific societies are created in the territory, among them: the Society of Thought, Society and Audit, Planning, Banking and Finance, Environment, Population Society, Economy, Tourism, Health, Cooperativism and Marketing.

Today the members of this association ratify the need to play a more active role in updating the economic model, with local actions, in the search to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants.

Throughout the country they celebrate the Day of the Cuban Economist and Accountant. It was chosen November 26 because, on that same date in 1959, Commander Ernesto Guevara was appointed the first revolutionary president of the National Bank of Cuba (BNC).
