Mayabeque, Cuba_ The biological products of the laboratories of the Center for the Development of Entomophages and Entomopathogens (CREE), located in the municipality of Batabanó, are highly accepted in Mayabeque.
This scientific institution receives other nutrients for the land that farmers use in the demarcation.
In order to facilitate the access of Mayabeque’s residents to these preparations, the CREE has contracts with the Institutes of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), the Sugar Cane Derivatives Research (ISIDCA) and the National Center for Agricultural and Livestock Health (CENSA).
Pests such as the mite and tri ceased to be a threat, thanks to the existence of the center, manufacturer of about 30 tons of biological means, and distributor of six lines from other entities.
The procurement of biological means is of great importance to avoid the use of insecticides harmful to the environment.
