Mayabeque, Cuba__ The 5th International Scientific Colloquium of the Rum will take place from 24th to t 27th this month and has as one of its headquarters the Ronera of Santa Cruz del Norte, located in Mayabeque, with the participation of experts from 30 countries.

Sponsored by Cuba Ron S.A, the event aims to promote scientific and technical exchange between producers and marketers of this liquor in the world.

Myths and Legends, Bars and Canteens, International Market, Packaging and Packaging, Protected Denomination of Origin and Havana Club are among the topics to be discussed during the event.

During the first day of the colloquium there will also be a debate between Maestros Roneros and the presentation of a new Havana Club product.

This fifth edition also includes visits to bars, organized by the Association of Cuban Bakers and the Ronera San José.

The occasion will be favorable to inaugurate the Visit Ship, where the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, said: "We will raise here the largest rum factory in Cuba."
