Mayabeque, Cuba_ Melena del Sur, will host the celebrations in Mayabeque, for the International Day of Museums, next May 18th.

According to Eneida Álvarez Gil, programming specialist in the territory, the agenda of the event includes a visit to the central park of the town, historical site and national monument, where the participants will know details of the place and the reasons why it deserves such high distinction.

The provincial act will be carried out since 10 o'clock in the morning with the presence of all the workers of these cultural institutions in the demarcation.

The museum reopens its doors after a capital repair. Now it has four rooms, including a multipurpose one, modern showcases and lighting of last generation.

Thanks to the work of the specialists, the pieces that are exhibited are in good condition, besides others donated to the collection, by members of the locality.

Álvarez Gil, said that prior to the celebration, the institution will develop the space stories told, dedicated to monuments and there will be a special conversation on the occasion of the International Nurses’ Day.
