Mayabeque, Cuba_ The production of animal food is one of the 16 programs of the Business Base Unit of Derivatives Products of the province, belonging to the Sugar Company.

In this sense is relevant the work of the multi nutritional block plant, currently the largest producer in the country, where nutrients for cattle, horses and pigs are produced.

So far they have reached 50 percent of the yields expected for 2017. These assortments guarantee the availability of food in the units, both in the dry season and in an uninterrupted way.

New strategies are currently being studied to raise the quality of feed intended for animals.

Increasing areas of forage and production volumes, as well as diversifying nutrients are some of the lines of work of the entity for the present year.
