Mayabeque, Cuba _ The last section of the two-lane road that is built from the intersection of Loma de Travieso to Jibacoa in Santa Cruz del Norte is in its final stage, which will conclude the most important work planned for this year by the Provincial Roads Center, the digital portal of Mayabeque newspaper publishes.

Alexis Ruiz Fernández, director of the entity, stressed the economic importance of the road, because it will allow the transit of tankers with oil that cannot go with a total weight above the 20 tons over Boca de Jaruco bridge.

The official said that completing the road is a solution to preserve for more years the recently rebuilt enclave and will greatly shorten the route of those vehicles.

At the moment they are working on the construction of two bridges and the remaining 800 meters of that last section, to then start the two deviations in Canasí and Puerto Escondido, in order to avoid the movement of the oil cisterns by the viaducts.

The work is carried out by the Construction Company of Mayabeque, Emcor-Cupet and the Construction of Engineering Works. Other beneficiaries are the people close to the new road, who had to travel by dirt roads and stones.
