Güines, Mayabeque_ Youth from Mayabeque received the card that accredits them as members of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), at the commemorative ceremony for the 28th anniversary of Operation Tribute in the municipality of Güines.

Among them four workers of Radio Mayabeque: Dianisleidys López Otaño, Taimí Suárez Milián, Nataly Váldes and Betsy Santiler Hernández for their outstanding work in the plant.

The date has great historical significance for the largest of the Antilles, as in 1989 the mortal remains of Cubans who had fallen on internationalist missions in African countries returned to the national territory.

In addition, on December 7, 1896, the most brilliant of the generals felt in combat in a rapid succession of actions, Lieutenant Antonio Maceo and his assistant, Captain Panchito Gómez Toro.
The example of the Bronze Titan and our unbeaten Commander is based on the memory of each comrade who gave his life for the just causes and for the true independence of the peoples.

A year after the physical departure of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, the anniversary is a reason for remembrance for Cuba and the world.

For 27 years, the people from Güines have gone to the pantheon of the fallen in defense of their country to pay tribute to all the brothers who gave their lives in the internationalist missions.

The leaders of the Party, the Young Communists League, the People's Power Assembly, the Administration, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the mass organizations, as well as the chiefs and officers of the FAR and the MININT in the territory presided over the event.
