Caracas, Venezuela_ President Nicolás Maduro visited the Cuartel de la Montaña, where the remains of Hugo Chávez lie, before presenting his official candidacy for Venezuela's presidential elections to the National Electoral Council.Â
The governor paid tribute to the niche of Chávez, accompanied by the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello; the executive vice-president, Tareck El Aissami and the holder of the National Constituent Assembly, Delcy RodrÃguez.
Maduro, representative of the revolutionary forces for the elections of April 22, ratified his commitment to the achievement of the project established by Chávez, through the so-called Plan de la Patria.
Venezuelans marched this Tuesday in support of the official presentation by the Venezuelan president of his candidacy for the upcoming elections, in which he will seek the re-election.
