San Salvador_ Some five million Salvadorans are summoned this Sunday to exercise their right to vote to elect the 84 deputies of the unicameral Parliament of this Central American nation, as well as its 262 mayors, for which the government authorized 595 thousand polling stations, Radio Habana Cuba publishes. 

Among those who travel the streets of El Salvador to encourage citizenship since the early hours of the morning, highlights Jackeline Rivera, candidate for mayor of San Salvador for the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación (FMLN).

'We begin this journey with joy and hope. I invite the entire population of the capital to go to the polls. "We do not stay without voting!", urged Rivera, who was close to some of the main polling centers.

Famous for her guerrilla childhood and for her legislative work, the fighter plans to vote mid-morning, after paying her respects to Blessed Oscar Arnulfo Romero, in his crypt in the Metropolitan Cathedral.

In turn, many JVR were installed long before the opening of polling stations in different municipalities, and after the verification of the Electoral Watch Board wait for the first electors.
