Havana_ The President of the United States Donald Trump announced this March 13, in Washington, that Rex Tillerson was dismissed from his post as Secretary of State, after a year in office, Radio Habana Cuba reports. 

The new head of American diplomacy will be Mike Pompeo, current director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The dignitary presented Pompeo as a strong critic of the foreign policy, proposed by the Government of Barack Obama, and noted that he has advocated that the nuclear treaty signed with Iran be left behind, because it qualifies the Iranian government as "promoter of terrorism" .

Trump also announced that Gina Haspel will lead the US intelligence agency, CIA, in replacement of Pompeo, thus becoming the first woman in charge of that institution.
