Washington_ US media reported that US President Donald Trump spoke today by telephone with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, winner of his country's elections for a fourth term in office, Prensa Latina reports.  

According to the digital portal The Hill and the NBC News network, White House officials confirmed that the dialogue was carried out, without specifying details of the issues addressed.

Earlier the Kremlin press service had reported that in the telephone conversation the Republican ruler congratulated his Russian counterpart on the outcome of the elections.

Putin and Trump have spoken on several occasions since the Republican's arrival at the White House on January 20, 2017, and held a bilateral meeting in July 2017, during the G-20 Summit held in Germany.
