Beiging_ President Xi Jinping called China and Russia to strengthen the communication in international and regional affairs for finding political solutions to the main problems, Prensa Latina reported.

When meeting here with the head of the Russian Presidential Administration, Sergei Ivanov, the president reflected that the strategic cooperation between the two nations plays a key role to safeguard peace and stability in the region and the world in general.

Xi considered that China and Russia are the most important partners one each other and the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership cooperation should be the mutual choice of both countries.

In this regard, he asked the two sides to take advantage of the XV anniversary of the China-Russia Good Neighborhood and Cooperation Treaty as an opportunity to conduct bilateral friendly cooperation.

Beijing and Moscow signed the Good-Neighbour and Friendly Cooperation Treaty in July 2001, and established a firm legal basis for both develop a strategic partnership.

The Chinese president expressed the need for the two territories maintain close high-level exchanges and deepen practical cooperation in important areas by establishing synergies among the development strategies of each.

He stressed that he and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, support that the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Russian Presidential Administration hold exchanges, cooperation and learn from each other.

This is an important sign of our high-level mutual trust, Xi stressed.

In addition, Ivanov said that close high-level exchanges guide the progress of bilateral ties, and assured that the two countries have maintained rapid development of cooperation in various areas and communication and close coordination in international affairs.

He also pointed out that the Russian Presidential Administration is willing to work with the General Office of the Chinese Party Central Committee (PCCh) to implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state and contribute to the bilateral relationship.
