El Cairo_ Most of the passengers and part of the crew of the aircraft from the EgyptAir airline that took off today from the city of Alexandria were released after their abduction, an information Prensa Latina highlights.

According to the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, four passengers will stay as hostages, none of them Egyptians, retained by the kidnapper, identified as Ibrahim Samaha, who allegedly threatened the crew with an explosive vest.

According to the source, the Airbus A 320 carrying 81 passengers was traveling from Alexandria, on the Mediterranean coast, to Cairo.

The hijacker’s reasons are still unknown, while the Cypriot security forces keep the plain in a point away from Larnaca track, while local authorities maintain communication with the kidnapper.
