Washington_ Tom Bossert, Interior Security Advisor to US President Donald Trump, has resigned this Tuesday, according to presidential spokeswoman Sarah Sanders, Cubasà reports.Â
"The president appreciates Tom's commitment to the security of our great country, Tom led the efforts of the White House to protect the homeland from terrorist threats, strengthen our cyber defenses and respond to a series of unprecedented natural disasters," she said
The White House did not clarify the reason for the resignation. However, a Bloomberg journalist, Jennifer Jacobs, says he left his post at the request of John Bolton, Trump's current National Security Advisor.
Bossert served as National Security Advisor to the Trump Administration until he was lowered in April 2017.
