Tehran_ Iranian President Hasan Rohani reiterated today that the nuclear agreement with six world powers is not negotiable, Prensa Latina reports.

Rohani ratified that position during a phone call with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

According to the presidential office, the head of the Persian State assured that he will not accept any change in the pact signed in 2015 with the G5 + 1 (United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany).

He added that his country will reject any type of restriction beyond the agreement, in reference to the requirement of the American president, Donald Trump, to link the agreement with his Iranian defensive missile program.

Macron said that the European Union, and in particular France, will remain committed to the pact, which he described as a model to solve the problems of the region.

Under the nuclear agreement or Comprehensive Plan of Joint Action, its official name, the Persian country cannot enrich uranium beyond 3.67 percent and remit the surplus to Russia.

In return, there will be a relief from the economic sanctions imposed on Tehran that, in practice, the United States and other signatories breach.
