Panamá_ The honorable president of Jose Marti Association of Cuban Residents in Panama, Angel Baños, announced that this Central American state will receive Cuban residents in Latin America and the Caribbean as part of a regional event, Prensa Latina reports.

According to Baños, the meeting will take place in October next year in the Isthmian nation, given the logistical possibilities offered by Copa Airlines through its Hub of the Americas, which links this city with multiple cities in the region.

We aspire the Seventh Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean to be attended by countrymen from 33 countries, because "no matter where we are, we must continue the unfinished work of the National Hero José Martí, who always loved our beloved homeland", he said.

During the meeting the members of the organization reviewed the actions carried out during last year and what is expected for the present calendar, making emphasis in the need to consolidate the work with the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, optimizing the use of social networks and involvin more young people in the work of the Association.

They also reaffirmed the demand to end the US blockade to Cuba and the return of the illegal Guantanamo Naval Base.

The ambassador of the Caribbean nation to Panama, Antonio Pardo, said that it is important to bring the Cuban family living here and move the patriotic fervor that never Martí lost, to the new generations, despite being away from their land for many years.
