Caracas_ Jose Vicente Rangel, Venezuelan journalist, recalled the coup d’état carried out in 2002 against the then president Hugo Chavez, 14 years ago, Radio Reloj publishes.

Rangel expressed that the incident almost provoked a civil war due to a group of factors who carried out a plan to overthrow the government of President Chavez, but the coup not only intended to put the head of state away.

The former Venezuelan vice president explained that the real objective was to eliminate the Constitution of 1999, the most advanced and democratic of the South American country.

“The perpetrators of that action don’t like to remember what happened”, the journalist said and he called them irresponsible and of acting moved by hate.
