Roma_ On his second day of visit to the Vatican, the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, will talk at the World Meeting of Social Movements on new proposals coming from Latin America, based on his experiences as a popular leader, Prensa Latina’s digital site publishes.

Ecuador’s President, Rafael Correa and aspiring presidential candidate for the Democratic Party of the United States, Bernie Sanders are also included among the invitees to the meeting.

Evo Morales began his visit to the Vatican on Friday, when he was received by Pope Francisco, in a cordial meeting, where both addressed the current Bolivian socioeconomic situation and issues of the international arena.

Morales gave the Pope three books on the benefits of coca, a millennial culture in his country.

He also presented him with a wood bust of the indigenous leader ethnic group, Tupac Katari Aymara, who was killed in 1781 by the Spanish.

The Pope, for his part, gave Morales San Martin de Tours medallion, patron of Buenos Aires and symbol of love for the poor.

As part of his agenda in Rome, the head of state also met with the agent to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Eduardo Rodriguez Veltzé.
