Brasilia_ Voting for Fernando Haddad is to reject the shadow of fascism threatening to extend over Brazil, warned representatives of six political parties grouped today in a democratic front supporting this presidential candidate, Prensa Latina reports.
The seeds of hatred and violence planted in the last years by the reactionary forces and the owners of big fortunes gave life to a candidacy (the ultra-right Jair Bolsonaro) that is opposed to the values of democracy, freedom, national sovereignty and the rights of the people, affirmed those organizations.
In a document made known last night on occasion of the launching of the front, the party groupings considered it is time to unite and fight and calle don citizens to vote, in the second round of presidential elections, for democracy and for the future of the country.
The text, undersigned by the Workers' Party (PT) the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), Republican Party of the Social Order (PROS), Brazilian Communist Party (PCB), Socialist Brazilian Party (PSB) and Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL), underlines that Brazil lives a historic moment which demands a firm response from all democrats.
It insists also that voting for Haddad is to respond to the fabrication of lies and violence extended throughout the nation, in anticipation of an authoritarian State, against life, people's rights, freedom and justice.
According to the most recent survey of vote intention for the second round, spread last night by the Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics (Ibope), Bolsonaro, of the Social Liberal Party (PSL), leads with 59 percent, while Haddad marches behind with 41 percent of the preference.
