Tehran_ Iran adopted the previous position they had before the nuclear agreement sealed in 2015 between Tehran and six world powers, in view of the European Union's inaction against the economic pressures of the United States, Prensa Latina reports.

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, expressed so during an interview with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Jeremy Hunt, quoted today by the digital website of the organism of the nation of the Persians.

Shamkhani criticized the lack of action of the European countries against the anti-Iran policy Donald Trump’s government after the illegal withdrawal of the nuclear pact in violation of UN resolutions.

The high ranking official recalled that the talks to achieve the agreement were made under European auspices and that to disrespect it implies a violation of the credibility and political status of the United States towards the European Union.

According to the Iranian official, the support to Washington of the European signatories of the pact, would discredit them in the eyes of the region and the world.

"Given the lack of action against the inappropriate behavior of the United States, the Islamic Republic made the decisions to adopt an approach similar to the era before the nuclear agreement”, Shamkhani warned.
