Hanoi_ Vietnam today awaits North Korea's delegate to the United States, Kim Hyok Chol, who will join several officials from his country present in this capital to settle details of the Kim Jong Un-Donald Trump summit, Prensa Latina reports.
Kim Hyok Chol arrived in Beijing on Tuesday morning and from there he will fly to Hanoi, where he will meet soon with his North American counterpart, Stephen Biegun, to adjust details of the complicated agenda that the two leaders will address.
Kim Hyok Chol and Biegun met earlier this month in Pyongyang to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and the equivalent response Washington should make to that eventual decision.
The US delegate then said that the negotiations had been productive, but said that there was still 'much to be done' before this, the second Kim-Trump summit.
According to a statement from the State Department, the parties at that time discussed the "complete denuclearization, the transformation of relations between the United States and North Korea and the establishment of a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula."
The second face-to-face between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump is scheduled for Hanoi on the 27th and 28th next. The first one took place in Singapore in June of last year.
