Pretoria_ The Premier of the South African province of Gauteng, David Makhura, said that his country will continue to support Cuba in the fight against US blockade until its end, Radio Reloj publishes.

We welcome the current process of rapprochement between Cuba and the United States, Makhura said.

Makhura, who participated yesterday in the main event for May Day, celebrated in the popular neighborhood of Mamelodi, outside Pretoria, recalled that in 1999, he celebrated the International Workers' Day on the Island.

He also praised the struggles of the Cuban people, the solidarity with the workers and in relation to May Day, he stressed that this was a great day for South Africans and for the solidarity.
