Caracas_ Venezuela continues today as a constant target of media attacks from the big chains and institutions of the United States, denounced the vice president of Communication, Tourism and Culture of the South American nation, Jorge Rodríguez, Prensa Latina reports.

The official rejected the usual circulation of news about the country, particularly since the increase of the attacks in support of a coup d'état orchestrated by Washington and the internal opposition.

In a message posted on his Twitter account, Rodriguez described the announcement Monday by the undersecretary of the US State Department, Kimberly Breier, on the alleged arrest of the journalist of Univision television station Jorge Ramos and his team at the headquarters of the Government in Caracas, the Miraflores Palace.

In this regard, the also Minister of Communication and Information of Venezuela denounced that it is a false positive from the American entity, just when the ABC network was broadcasting an interview with President Nicolás Maduro.

Rodríguez recalled that in recent weeks the Venezuelan head of state has offered interviews to international media such as the Iranian television station Hispantv, the Sputnik agencies in Russia, and the American AP, the Spanish channel Antena 3, among others.

"Through Miraflores have passed hundreds of journalists who have received the decent treatment that we habitually offered to those who come to fulfill the journalistic work, and have published the result of that work. We do not pay for cheap shows”, he emphasized.
