Moscow_ Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov said during a meeting with six Cuban heroes that the US economic blockade against the island ''does not lead anywhere'', Radio Reloj publishes.

"We believe that the process of normalization of relations reflects the awareness of our American colleagues of the lack of prospects in imposing any kind of sanction, and in having double standards," he said.

The minister met with the Cuban Five, who served sentences of more than 15 years in the United States while trying to prevent violent actions against their country.

The meeting was also attended by the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Orlando Cardoso, who suffered 10 years of imprisonment in Somalia after being taken prisoner while serving an international mission in Ethiopia, as well as the Cuban ambassador to Moscow, Emilio Lozada.

The head of Russian diplomacy, Lavrov, confessed that the article by Fidel Castro, 'Brother Obama', was studied with great interest by the Foreign Ministry, which considers that Havana and Moscow have developed their relationship on the basis of the principles contained in the text.

Gerardo Hernandez, in the name of his fellow visitors, gave thanks for the invitation to the Victory Day military parade which was held in Red Square on Monday, which he considered a privilege.
