Mayabeque, Cuba_ Two works of the, Yasiel Álvarez Borges and Osmel Herrera López, were selected among the 25 that compete in the fifth edition of the Post-it Contemporary Cuban Art Salon at the Galiano Gallery of the Cuban Cultural Funds.

Contents, is the proposal of Alvarez Borges, who proposes a reflection from the own questioning with history in its dialectical character.

It refers to an abstract world. This creator of Melena del Sur participates for the second time in this cultural event, considered one of the most important for the promotion of the work of young people of the Cuban visual arts.

Anatema, is the work of another melenero, Herrera López, in which he combined acrylic, carborundum and canvas. It classifies between paintings with a marked interest in human existence.

At the event, which became an effective promotion platform for young creators, 119 artists from 12 provinces of the country, including the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, are present.
