It is the term used by the president and leader Hugo Chavez and the people of Venezuela, to designate the ideological and social change that began on February 4, 1992 and has been maintained until today.

The Bolivarian process is based on the independence, anti-imperialist and Latin American ideology of Simón Bolívar and on the thesis of Simón Rodríguez, Ezequiel Zamora and José Carlos Mariátegui.

After the rise to power of the movement led by Hugo Chavez, he began the arduous path to consolidate independence and fulfill the dream of the Liberator.

The Revolution is based on four macro dynamics: anti-imperialism, social democracy, anti-neoliberalism and the transition to Socialism of the XXI Century.
