Caracas: The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) remains firmly today in the face of the coup demands that threaten peace and institutionalism in Venezuela, said President Nicolás Maduro, Prensa Latina reports.

In this regard, the president stressed that the nation has a consistent military institution, loyal, cohesive and united as never before, against the attempts of the right under the designs of the United States to break the chain of command.

This Thursday, during a military parade in Fort Tiuna, Caracas, the head of State called on the troops to maintain the unity in defense of the Constitution, democracy and peace.

For his part, the Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino reaffirmed that the loyalty codes of the troops will always be superior to plans to undermine their faithfulness.

The historical attachment of the Venezuelan forces is nourished every day by the independence legacy, of Simón Bolívar, Padrino said.

'We learned from Antonio José de Sucre, his brilliance, his lucidity, his kindness as a soldier and we feed ourselves every day on the loyalty of Rafael Urdaneta', the minister emphasized.

Before the attacks to divide them, the components of the FANB remain united, cohesive and loyal, the operational strategic commander of the military corps, Remigio Ceballos also highlighted.

"We are here to defend the independence and sovereignty of Venezuela, to be loyal, but not to be loyal to all those vagabonds and political mercenaries that confront the State," he said.

The Venezuelan soldiers are loyal as an attitude, as conduct to military principles and values, to the organic law of the FANB, as well as to its commander in chief Maduro, he added.
