Caracas: The Venezuelan government is currently focusing its efforts on the economic recovery and the political dialogue amid calls for destabilization by the opposition supported by the United States, Prensa Latina reports.

In this regard, the chancellor of the South American nation, Jorge Arreaza, denounced "the plot between the US empire and the Venezuelan oligarchy to regain control of the country's national and geopolitical wealth."

"They experience an obsession and desperation when they run into a people and a strong Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), which is why they are destined to fail”, the diplomat said in remarks to the Russia Today channel from Moscow.

The opposition began to deepen together with Washington the maneuvers to make the economy collapse with illegal sanctions and a unilateral blockade.

These actions have their maximum expression in the financial system, which makes it difficult to import inputs for production, food procurement, medicines, payment for services, technological maintenance, among others, he said.

"It is absurd, unilateral policies such as sanctions, blockade, is the most illegal thing that exists," the head of Venezuelan diplomacy said.
However, he added, Venezuelans remain in permanent and conscious resistance to the need to defend their homeland and territory with all the tools at hand.

During his visit to Moscow, Arreaza thanked the support of allies such as Russia, China, Turkey and India.

"Venezuela is a sovereign country and maintains relations with nations that respect the Charter of the United Nations, so we will continue to deepen our alliances," the Foreign Minister stressed.
