Moscow: Russia today accused the United States of forming and training new terrorist groups with the task of destroying the hydrocarbon infrastructure in Syria and of attacking government troops in that country, Cubadebate publishes.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, USA has resumed the smuggling business that was previously in the hands of the Islamic State in Syria and seizes oil facilities belonging to the Government of Bashar al Assad.

"US structures in Syria are still looting oil facilities and deposits owned by the legitimate Syrian Government east of the Euphrates," said the head of the General Directorate of Operations of the General Staff of Russia, Colonel General Sergey Rudskói, on Monday.

In the words of that officer, US entities have organized the production and marketing of Syrian oil from the Al Omar, Conoco and Al Tanak fields, in what amounts to a "criminal scheme" focused on the "plundering of Syria's national wealth ».

Several US structures are dedicated to organizing the illegal extraction and sale of Syrian hydrocarbon, which virtually replaced the Islamic State terrorist movement in that smuggling, the Russian military said.

According to Rudskoi, in the 55-kilometer zone around the illegal North American base, in the Syrian town of Et-Tanf, the Pentagon instructors train about 2,700 members of the Magavir as-Saura armed group.

"All these activities of US private military companies are carried out with the aviation coverage of the international anti-terrorism coalition," said Rudskói.

With the money obtained from the smuggling of oil they steal in Syria, the United States buys weapons to deliver, both to Kurdish and Arab formations, which they then use against each other, Rudskoi said.

Such a practice only contributes to raising tensions in an area devastated by war, the colonel-general said.

On the other hand, the sabotage groups prepared by Washington carried out some 300 attacks in June and July, with a balance of 225 soldiers and 65 civilians killed, as well as 240 uniformed men and more than 100 civilians injured, the staff officer added.

The United States also retains some 75,000 people in the El-Hall refugee camp, created by that country, in conditions comparable to a concentration camp, he said.
