Puerto Rico: After being announced in recent days, this Wednesday another chat between the governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló, whose resignation will take place on August 2, and officials of his cabinet came to light, according to information from Cubadebate.
The journalist Sandra Rodríguez Cotto published in her blog En Blanco y Negro con Sandra, about 97 pages of the chat that, this time, deals with strategies to influence the polls carried out by the media.
According to Rodríguez, these messages correspond to days 1, 2, 3, 4, 16, 17, 18 and November 20, 2018, where “they reveal improper and illegal attitudes of those involved,” she says.
"They conspire to push issues that favor them, such as getting the Secretary of Justice, Wanda Vázquez, to succeed in her case while attacking rival figures such as Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz," the journalist said.
In addition, those involved discuss schemes to manipulate public opinion through the use of influences and social networks to attack journalists and political figures.
This revelation is the third of the so-called Telegramgate scandal, which includes the dissemination of 889 pages with offensive, homophobic and discriminatory chats between Rosselló and nearby officials.
Given this, on July 13 began a national protest between sectors of the country to request the resignation of Rosselló that lasted more than ten days and achieved the resignation of the governor, as well as other members of his cabinet.
