Caracas: The National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela (ANC) defined the strategy it will apply from today on in relation to the next parliamentary elections, Prensa Latina publishes.

The entity approved the creation of a commission to define the date of suffrages for the renewal of the National Assembly (AN), in contempt since 2016.

We will evaluate the political situation of the country according to the law and the consultation with the organisms, when the best time to carry out the elections is and if that consultation shows that we have to do them this year, they will be done, Diosdado Cabello, president of the ANC, said.

The also first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) announced that this organization will present its candidates for the process and assured that the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is very clear that no power is superior to the Constituent and it can summon elections at any time and there is only one power left to renew that is the AN.

However, he pointed out the need to prepare, work as a team when the moment of the application begins, in order to win the largest number of seats.

'We are going to prepare ourselves to give a fight in the lessons of the National Assembly', it is necessary that the PSUV work according to that.

Cabello urged to develop work house by house, on the street, every day and summoned them to the union.

The Venezuelan parliament was declared in contempt by the Supreme Court of Justice when incurring offenses before what is ruled in the Constitution, reasons for which in July 2017 elections were held for the ANC that was formally installed on August 4 of the same year, in the Elliptical Room of the Federal Legislative Palace.

Since then it is the plenipotentiary body that approves the decisions that govern the nation, under the direction of the Bolivarian Government.
