Moscow: The presidents of the State Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Russia, Vladimir Putin, reiterated today their friendship and willingness to cooperate, Prensa Latina publishes.

The intentions were underlined by both leaders during an exchange of messages on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Korea (August 15, 1945), according to the digital site of the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his letter to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, also the president of the Korean Labor Party, Kim Jong Un, said that relations between Pyongyang and Moscow were in a new advanced state.

He gave as examples the sectors of the economy, culture and politics, among others, which have as direct references to the historical relations of arms fellowship.

He added that the Koreans will always remember the internationalist feats of the heroic officers and soldiers of the Red Army, who gave their precious lives for the sacred cause of Korea's liberation and accompanied the Koreans in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

Vladimir Putin in his text to Kim Jong Un wrote that both Russia and the DPRK have friendly and constructive relationships.

He exemplified that the Summit held with the Korean leader on April 25, on Russky Island, Vladivostok, was clear proof of that.

He said that the implementation of the agreements at that summit meeting will contribute to further intensify bilateral cooperation and to ensure stability and security in the Korean peninsula.
