Santa Lucia: The government of Saint Lucia issued a hurricane warning due to the deteriorating weather conditions that Tropical Storm Dorian brings, according to the United States National Hurricane Center (NHC), Prensa Latina publishes.

For its part, France gave a tropical storm warning to Martinique that, together with Barbados and Saint Vincent and the Grenadine Islands, should be alert for the next 36 hours.

In advertisement number nine of the NCH, meteorologists insist that Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Hispaniola monitor the progress of this weather phenomenon that has a current west-northwest movement at 22 kilometers per hour.

Dorian’s trajectory forecast locates it on Monday afternoon near the Windward Islands and at night east of the Caribbean Sea, as well as expected to pass near or south of Puerto Rico for Wednesday.

The maximum sustained winds increased to 95 kilometers per hour with higher gusts and the swells generated will affect sectors of the Lesser Antilles this afternoon.

These swells could cause hangover conditions and sea currents that threaten life.
