Santiago de Chile: The Chilean capital woke up with barricades set on fire in several parts of the city, which further hindered the chaotic traffic of vehicles in this city of more than seven million inhabitants, Prensa Latina publishes.
According to press reports, the most complicated situation occurs on Route 68, where a group of protesters cut the road with a roadblock in the direction of Santiago.
This caused a traffic jam of a kilometer, on a day where many schools started classes after being suspended for two weeks due to the massive protests.
For today, numerous popular demonstrations are planned in this capital and other cities, called by the Super Monday organizations, in which they hope to gather hundreds of thousands of people in the afternoon at Baquedano Square.
Likewise, at noon, demonstrations are announced in front of the headquarters of the National Congress in Santiago and Valparaíso.
They will also carry out a national cacerolazo after 20.00 pm.
