La Paz: The leader of the Pro Santa Cruz Civic Committee, Fernando Camacho, intends today to damage Bolivia's economy with the seizure of institutions and the closing of borders, denounced the president of the Senate, Adriana Salvatierra.

"As his request for resignation to President Evo Morales was ridiculous, this time he launched a series of threats to harm the country and damage the economy such as the appropriation of institutions and the closure of borders," the legislator said in a press conference.

According to Prensa Latina, when referring to the measures announced last night in a town hall in the city of Santa Cruz by the so-called civic extremist trend, Salvatierra said that in the end, what happens is that he opted for a radical line.

"He sold Santa Cruz the idea that it would be easy to forcefully remove the president, Evo Morales," he reasoned, "and now he has to resort to even more extreme measures, which will also be irrelevant," such as the resignation request of the head of State.

Gradually this opponent is isolated in his violence and radicalism, and that both the Catholic Church and various analysts said that Bolivia needs to get out of this crisis through a dialogue, with institutional outlets, far from the coup, he said.

However, after the promised deadline without reaching that goal, announced Monday the radicalization of its initiatives.

Salvatierra recalled that the international community does not in any way support the violent marches of the opposition and the coup escalation proposed by Camacho and other civic committees.

In the cabildo of this Monday, Camacho informed that today he will arrive in La Paz to deliver Morales a letter requesting his resignation, but also, as he said, he will attach a draft of his resignation.

Before the crowd gathered before the Christ the Redeemer of Santa Cruz, Camacho raised the applause strategy from 00.00 local time on Tuesday, consisting of the blockade of public entities.

The radical leader said that the conditions for this measure exist, after approving a list of police officers who, in his opinion, will be attended by the next government and has demands such as retirement with 100 percent of the agents' salary.

He also revealed that the military rejected an alleged 'loyalty bonus', because they are according to his version, 'with his people'.

In this context, he acknowledged that it is impossible to go back after demanding the resignation of Morales, so that from now on the actions are being radicalized along with other civic committees, the National Committee for the Defense of Democracy and the so-called citizen platforms.
