Venezuela: The Venezuelan government denounced Colombia on Thursday for the irregular deportation of its nationals residing in that country, accused by Bogotá of being behind the social protest of the last week, Radio Reloj reports.
In a statement released on Twitter by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, Caracas expressed outrage and deep concern over what he considered a criminalization against its citizens.
Last Monday, a total of 60 Venezuelans living in Colombia were expelled for allegedly having participated in activities against public order and public safety, during the demonstrations that began on November 21.
Venezuela warned that it will be alert to any degrading treatment or violation of the human rights of its citizens, and that it will denounce before the international organizations the criminal attitude of the Colombian government.
