Caracas_ President Nicolas Maduro criticizes the majority of the right wing in the National Assembly, for hindering  the development of the social and economic programs promoted by the government, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

During the ceremony for the delivery of more than 6,000 households developed by the program Gran Misión Vivienda, Maduro also said the current parliament, led by opposition leader Henry Ramos Allup, has tarnished the country’s history.

This is a bourgeois assembly, that does not respond to the interests of the majority and represents a total setback for the country’s development, he said.

They requested international intervention against their own country and are constantly hindering plans to overcome economic problems, right-wing parties have turned the assembly into a shame to the supreme interests of the Venezuelan people, he added.

Maduro said that deputies are repeatedly absent to the work sessions, being 11 times absent in only 24 weeks and suspending almost half the meetings due to lack of quorum.

According to the President, in 15 years of revolutionary majority, a meeting was never suspended because of lack of quorum.
