México City_ Teachers of the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) will continue today their protests in the country against the education reform, despite the promise of dialogue between the teachers' movement and the government, Prensa Latina reported.
The CNTE reported that the paralyzation of the academic activities will continue in schools of Mexico City.
According to the teachers’ leaders, after a march in downtown Juarez Hemicycle, the disruption of classes in basic education centers will be maintained.
In Mexico City classes will continue as normal in this school stage until February 15.
While in Juchitan, in the state of Oaxaca, roadblocks carried out by teachers of Section 22 of the CNTE, with the support of parents and social organizations have remained for more than 20 days.
The demonstrators protested on Wednesday because the lack of official response to the conflict and also demanded the release of their union leaders and punishment for the events happened on June 19 in Nochixtlán in Oaxaca, where at least eight people died.
