Bogotá_ The Constitutional Court of Colombia approved the plebiscite to the Peace Agreement between the government of that nation and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army (Farc-EP), Cubadebate publishes.

The Government presided over by Juan Manuel Santos will have a term of one month to summon this electoral day, formula agreed between the Government and the Congress for the participation of the citizenship.

During one month, the legislators will study if they approve or not this call, and if it counts with their approval, the head of state should summon the voters to the polls in a maximum term of four months.

The government will decide the date in which a voting will be made where, as minimum, four million voters should participate.

The bilateral agreement signed in Havana between Farc-EP and the Colombia Government brings about a new way for the peace and, in that sense, it contains three essential points for the end of the conflict, the ceasing of hostilities and the bilateral definitive cease-fire, as well as the surrender of weapons on the part of Farc-EP that will be verified by the UN, through his Security Council, among them.
