Beijing_ The meteorological authorities issued today an orange alert for Beijing the capital due to the intense rains that could overcome the 100 millimeters, Cubadebate publishes.

According to the City’s Meteorological Buro, about 70 millimeters of rain has already fallen.

At the same time the National Meteorological Center increased to yellow the alert level in all the country due to the storms.

Rains continue hitting the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan, Shanxi, Shandong and Hebei provinces and municipalities of Chongqing, Tianjin.

In some regions is expected to fall more than 180 millimeters of rain so the meteorological authorities advised residents to take precautions against possible floods, landslides and mudslides and rocks.

Since mid-June rainfall left more than 230 dead and nearly 100 missing in China, resulting in direct economic losses of more than 22 billion dollars.

The provinces of central and southeastern Asia were the most affected by the extreme weather.
