Quito_ The Chapel of Man, architectonic place in the Ecuadorian capital, will host today the “90 and More" Ceremony to homage the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro in his birthday, Prensa Latina publishes.

The event that started on August 3rd is part of a program of activities to be held in this South American country throughout the month to honor the extraordinary politician.

About 500 guests are expected to attend the ceremony, according to Cuba's ambassador in Ecuador, Rafael Dausa.

Members of the "Jose Marti" Ecuadorian Institute, the Guayasamin Foundation, the Ecuadorian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, the Eloy Alfaro Association of doctors trained in Cuba, the House of Peoples, representatives of diplomatic missions in Quito and several political parties, will participate in the tribute.

Representatives of the Ecuadorian government are expected to attend the ceremony, among them the Foreign Minister and Human Mobility, Guillaume Long, the diplomat expressed.

 Greetings to the Cuban leader by means of an audiovisual work, music and revolutionary poetry performed by Ecuador’s singers and poets, as well as other guests will fill part of the night dedicated to Fidel Castro.

The commemorative activities began with a conversatorio on Fidel’s legacy for Latin America and the world and a photographic exhibition with images of Fidel Castro, courtesy of the Guayasamin Foundation, was opened on Thursday, August 4th.

The Cuban ambassador specified that during the rest of the month the program includes cultural and political events in other cities of the country, an exhibition of Cuban films and a scientific day organized by Ecuadorians graduated in universities of the Island.
